Galaxies, graphs, and everything in between

This semester I'm splitting time between two labs that look nothing alike on paper — and that's the point.

In the Galaxies + Star Clusters Lab, the work is photometric: cleaning Rubin Observatory–era data, building regression and ML pipelines in Python, and asking how far away a galaxy really is. In SCRUGS, the objects are combinatorial: chromatic numbers, homology, and arguments that live in higher dimensions.

Both start with a definition, both end with something you can defend in front of a room. I'll write more as posters and papers land.
